Jan S. White, President, Meetings by Design. Before founding Meetings by Design in 1992, she was employed by the DuPont Company as a Meeting Producer in the design and execution of corporate Product Launches, Excellence Award events, and Town Meetings. Prior to joining DuPont, she held the role of Technical Director for a National Touring Company, and various technical roles at a large regional Dinner Theatre. In her spare time, she studies Kenpo Karate, where she has been achieved the rank of third degree black belt.
She approaches business meetings and special events as communication vehicles that are driven by objectives, business needs, audience demographics, budgetary parameters and client expectations.
Meetings and events represent significant investments of time and money. Managing those investments means being a good steward of organization dollars and client time. Creativity, flexibility, honesty and customer satisfaction are paramount.
Meetings by Design has produced a number of major events, including the Governor Jack Markell’s Inauguration and Inaugural Ball, the 375th Jubilee of Delaware Gala Dinner with Their Majesties, the King and Queen of Sweden, DuPont’s NASCAR Day, the Blood Bank of Delmarva’s 50th Anniversary Gala and Gaudenzia’s Community Champion Awards. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Delaware.
